About Us

Red Monk Productions combines the talents of Karen Savage and Dominic Symonds to create and develop new theatre and film work. We are particularly interested in combining the moving image with live performance, leading to innovative theatre events with a multimedia aesthetic, and award-winning independent filmmaking with a theatrical flair.

We specialize in the development and production of short films and the creation and production of new writing for musical theatre.

We have a strong collaborative history working in theatre and film with artists, designers, composers, opera singers and VJs. Our work has been seen internationally in Canada, Moldova, France, Austria, Turkey and across the UK.

Our commitment to creating a platform for new work and supporting opportunities for emerging talent in theatre and film has enabled us to launch festivals, publications, conferences, workshops and courses.

Red Monk is a member of  the ITC.
