Visual Essays

Karen Savage's visual essays are part of an ongoing interdisciplinary research project that combines the moving image with performance, creating a dialogue between disciplines, crossing boundaries, blending, merging and exploring the spaces that are created. The visual work combines painting, film, video, sound and performance and explores the working processes of the artist as woman, as filmmaker, as performer, and as viewer/spectator/experiencer.

This work in progress has been shown at the University of Portsmouth as part of the 'MashUp event 2009'; a sample can be viewed on our Media pages.
